WELCOME TO TIRANA! 

EPOKA Univeristy would like to welcome all participants to 2023/IFEES/GEDC/EPOKA ! The international conference is entitled "Challenges in the Western Balkans: Infrastructure and Development in the Region". The conference will be held March 29-30th, 2023, in Tirana, Albania. The conference will bring together academics, higher education administrators, industry leaders, government officials, non-profit organizations, and other important stakeholders to discuss relevant high-level issues of importance that are of interest to the global engineering community and that impact our global society!

The key objectives of the conference include:

Strengthening collaboration and deepening integration among Western Balkan universities and their engineering departments with a view to promoting the development of the economies and societies of these countries;

Providing a platform for researchers, administrative leaders, practitioners, government policy-makers, industry executives and others to share cutting-edge innovative ideas;

Gathering like-minded leaders and professionals to find solutions to infrastructure and development problems;

Promoting more diversified professional activity, including raising awareness of women's challenges in the engineering field, in order to bring about more informed policy decision-making;

Promoting networking opportunities for attendees from universities, industry, government, international organizations and other relevant stakeholders;

Promoting accreditation and research collaboration opportunities for the participating universities from the Western Balkans as well as for European universities and universities further afield.
